Local Advisory Board

• This board consists of well known local people in the community connected to the business of tourism.
• This board is appointed by the owners of Bed & Breakfast In Napa Valley
• Although innkeepers comprise the majority of our advice our board is rounded out by other businesses related to travel and tourism.
  

Membership By Invitation Only

• Invitations to become a member are sent to selected bed and breakfast inns that we believe meet our minimum standards for membership.
• A preliminary list of 112 potential members was selected from the Napa Valley area. This list has been screened by our advisory board.
• The minimum requirement for membership is meeting the local government qualifications for owning and operating a bed and breakfast inn.
• All charter members are listed in our directory free of charge for the first year. If satisfied with our performance, charter members are guaranteed a low annual dues of $50 per year for the lifetime of their membership.
• The annual dues is the same for all levels of membership*
  

Rating System

• Our rating system is based upon licensing, inspections and creditable reviews bestowed upon our members. It is the travelers responsibility to investigate the content of reviews and inspections.
• Reviews older than five years are unacceptable.
• We do not judge our members according to amenities provided, luxury, historical significance or comments submitted by users of our web site or from the innkeepers themselves.
• We do encourage and welcome comments from travelers. This information will be forwarded by email or faxed to our members.
• Re-occurring complaints need to be addressed by correction or notification on our information page. Members understand that failure to respond to re-occurring complaints may result in forfeiting their membership.
• We rate according to the innkeepers effort to submit to outside evaluation not by necessarily the evaluation the innkeeper receives. Honesty in presentation is our benchmark for a higher rating.
  

Information Page

• Bed & Breakfast In Napa Valley has full editorial control of the information page. Amenities are written from our point of view, not the innkeepers point of view.
• Although we rely very heavily on the trust of our members that this information is correct, members clearly understand that false information is cause for revoking membership immediately without refund of any dues paid in advance.
• Tourist using our directory are encouraged to let us know if any collected information is incorrect.
  

What we do not do

• We do not personally inspect the properties of our members.
• We do not guarantee that all information provided members is correct.
• We do not suspend membership due to minor or one time only complaints.
